This initial editing is quite easy to perform before the final editing takes place on the screen. For example I may want to brighten and sharpen the subject's eyes, and so on. globally, or just locally (a small area of the subject). I can also increase the brightness and numerous other things of the image.
In here I can increase/decrease brightness, contrast, add the lens filter, even crop, and so on. In Bridge I select the new photos to edit, and then open them to do the initial editing or developing under Automatic or on "As Taken" by the camera.

You should still have your last used LR6 catalog as well, moving to LR CC would have created a new copy used by CC, and left your LR6 catalog (unless you deleted it and don't have any back ups).ĪND, you can install and run different version of LR at the same time. LR has the ability to save conversion data into XMP files and into DNG files, which should be readable in previous versions of LR (except where adjustments have been made in new features like dehaze etc). So you will lose any work you've done in LR CC. I had a quick google, and it appears you can not down grade the catalog from one version to a previous version.
